I think this is such a great program that Glenbard North High School performs quarterly.
"The Panther of the Quarter program recognizes students' academic excellence,
academic improvement, improved attendance, and acts of good citizenship. The
program is just one illustration of Glenbard District 87's strategic priority of
improved student achievement and the goal of expecting each student to maintain
an attendance rate of at least 94 percent."
The students receive a certificate with the comments about them, from the teacher who nominated them.
There is also a Panther Breakfast which is extended to parents as well, beginning at 7am on October 11th.
