In 2007, Chicago was the destination for over 45 million tourists and many of today's best travel magazines list Chicago as the top city in the country. They must know something! Art abounds in Chicago as well, beginning with the Art Institute of Chicago and over 200 smaller galleries. More than 100 pieces of public art is also on display at various downtown locations. 400 murals from FDR's "Works in Progress" program live on in the public schools.

A variety of people also inhabits Chicago. There are 26 different ethnicities represented in Chicago. This diversity contributes to Chicago's statistic as the city in the U.S. with the most world-class restaurants.

Many of Chicago's attractions offer free admission, including such top spots as the Navy Pier, the Lincoln Park Zoo, Millennium Park and the Chicago Cultural Center, and they're a short drive from Wilmette or Glenview.
