The Lake in the Hills Police Department will be hosting its 29th Citizen's Police Academy. The Citizen's Police Academy will run for a period of ten weeks, with one three hour course being held each Monday night from 6:30pm to 9:30pm over the ten week period.

The course topics will provide an overview of the various aspects of police work performed by the Lake in the Hills Police Department. Some topics covered, just to name a few, are crime scene investigation, firearms, gangs and community relations. In some of the classes citizens will have an opportunity to have a hands on approach and be able to participate in the various practical exercises.
