Still in Loan Modification Hell? Here's How To Find Your Mortgage Lender Or Bank CEO & Get Heard

If you’ve been following the comments on my “Are You In Loan Modification Hell? Join The Club” post, you know that borrowers are truly frustrated with the customer no-service they’ve been getting from their mortgage lenders.

While I speak regularly with folks in the executive suite of some of the major loan servicing companies, there are a bunch of layers of middle management between the good (I hope) intentions of those folks earning the big bucks and the ones who answer your calls to the toll-free number listed on your monthly mortgage statement.

If you feel as though you’re not being heard, you’ll want to kick it up several notches to your lender’s main office. Address a well-written letter that details the dates, details and who you spoke with to the CEO or President of the company.

To get you started, follow this link to article i have on CBS MoneyWatch. It includes the main “big box lender” CEOs and their company’s main offices.

Also, all of the big box lenders are regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

All of your letters should be copied to the OCC and sent by overnight mail or return receipt requested. Be sure to include copies of your documents and any other part of your paper trail. Be sure to include your loan number, name and complete contact information.
