8-11Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You're not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It's the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won't last forever. It won't be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.
10God, who shows you his kindness, and who has called you through Christ Jesus to his eternal glory, will restore you, strengthen you, make you strong, and support you as you suffer for a little while.
God's ways are perfect and his will is perfect! Many times we are afraid that if we do God's will that he will send us to become a missionary in some foriegn land or remote area.
But God's will is perfect for us, He will choose for you what you have been made to do for Him. It will be in an area of some special talent, interest, and gift that he has already given and selected for you to do.
Do not fear His will, but fear what you will miss if you don't head His call!
He has put each of us in this very place, at this very time, to do and work His good pleasure through us! Chances are you are in the very place of His will for you, but He want's you to do your job with righteousness and as a testimony to Him. Are you willing to give up the sins that you are hiding? Are you willing to add His joy, peace and righteousness to your work that you may be a living testimony to Him?
Be certain of this, He will get the last word!
