Tuesdays are Broker Open House days on the North Shore - and there were a few more than last week to see today, some good, some bad, some ugly.
By ugly I mean the house that was actually very attractive with good curb appeal - looks were not the problem. What spun my head like the girl in "The Exorcist" was the price - about $50,000 more than the sellers paid five years ago. Now - that's a no-no. Unless you have done some MAJOR remodeling there ain't no going back to 2007. This seller better get comfy, it's going to be a long wait.
Elsewhere, two homes were just a block apart and priced about the same - great to be able to see the comparison. Both were good homes but very different in style and feel.
A Doug Reynolds resale home came on today for a very good price - just on the edge of Indian Hill golf course - it's a home with great space and quality workmanship.
Another new home came on located in the Hubbard Woods school district. This one was priced fairly well, had nice curb appeal, and a great first floor, especially if you love entertaining. Upstairs was a bit of a disappointment, a little tight compared to the spaciousness of the first level.
That's it for today - every week's a surprise - good, bad or ugly . . .
