Barrington & Deer Park IL Real Estate - Should You Keep Your Home for Sale During the Holidays?

To keep your home on the market for the holidays or not to keep your home on the market for the holidays. It is a grey area for most. If you are serious about selling your home and are motivated, in my opinion it should remain on the market.

A majority of the buyers that are looking to purchase a home in this market are motivated. Everyone is busier now, in Northern Illinois like where I am at in Deer Park, Barrington, Lake Zurich and Palatine area, it is cold and many days there is snow on the ground. Hibernation is a factor. There are less showings now but they are great showings not just Lookie Lou's. Our internet leads and leads in general are much better this time of year, for those of us real estate agents that are working through the holiday season we always reap the rewards.

Just think of the emotional state of people right now. It is a great time to build relationships old and new, gain new friendships and help buyers and sellers as they set their housing goals for the end of 2008 and the start of 2009.
