If you live in the Chicagoland area, you've heard this saying before... "Don't like the weather, wait a second, it will change."
Well, I'm here to tell you that in the last few days I see the honesty in that simple joke.
Let's see, the day before Christmas... I think we had about 7 inches of snow on top of the already week-long on again, off again snow events.
Yesterday I woke up to an ice stormand driving to Home Depot to fetch some salt for the driveway was treacherous. By the end of the day the temperature had risen about 30 degrees.
This morning? I awoke to thunderstorms, fog, most of the snow has now melted and there is standing water. My morning drive to McDonald's for some coffee wasn't highlighted by snow or ice. I had to dodge the foot deep water puddles...
And now what will the weather bring tomorrow - snow probably...
