As anybody in the Chicagoland area can tell you, the weather has been anything but friendly of late.
Driving conditions for the past week or two have been just horrible. First we had the snow, then the ice, then fog, now we have flooding and the dangers of standing water.

I just wanted to take a second and remind everyone, please drive safely this holiday season. Take a little extra time to get where you're going. Make sure you listen to the weather forecast and plan accordingly. Leave additional space between you and the vehicle in front of you.
It's not going to hurt you to arrive a little late, or be in the car longer than usual. It COULD hurt you to speed and drive without taking the road conditions into consideration.
I have had to watch for drifting snow, patches of black ice and now standing water. Like they used to say on Hill St Blues, "Be careful out there."
