So many people are thinking they want to sell and buy up into a bigger home because they have outgrown their current home. Other people NEED to sell because they can no longer afford their home, but don't know the solutions to their very scary situation. We keep hearing it’s a bad market, there are no buyers, don’t sell! Is this true?
Real estate is a local market and guess what? People are still buying homes in our area! The following information proves that sales ARE still happening... Check out these stats in Fox Valley's (Illinois's western Chicagoland) following communities for January 2009 alone (by the way, this is historically one of the slowest months of the year in our area):
Aurora - 70 homes sold
Bartlett - 6 homes sold
Batavia - 9 homes sold
West Dundee, East Dundee and Sleepy Hollow - 6 homes sold
Elburn - 6 homes sold
Elgin - 40 homes sold
Geneva - 5 homes sold
Montgomery - 18 homes sold
Naperville - 61 homes sold
North Aurora - 6 homes sold
Oswego - 21 homes sold
St Charles - 17 homes sold
South Elgin - 8 homes sold
Sugar Grove - 1 home sold
West Chicago - 4 homes sold
Yorkville - 8 homes sold
That's right…almost 300 sales in a very slow month. Don't be fooled! The numbers prove that sales are still happening. If you want your home to be next, send me a message at ChristieThompson@kw.com or call me at 630/664-6800.... I can help! I look forward to serving ALL of your real estate needs!
Kind Regards,
Christie T... on the "MOVE"
