In the last 12 months there have been 28 residential sales in total of which 27 were homes. 9 of these were foreclosure sales, i.e. homes owned by the bank. 6 of the sales were short sales. i.e. homes owned by sellers that owed more on the mortgage than the home could sell for and sold due to financial hardship. If you want to buy a foreclosed home in Round Lake Heights, you might want to consider all the Round Lake and Volo areas as well which are close by.
Currently there are 23 homes on the market in Round Lake Heights Illinois. Of those 0 are bank foreclosures and 11 are short sales. $200,000 will buy you a 4 bedroom home in the newer subdivisions, a great deal. The disadvantage to many buyers trying to buy a short sale home is the period it can take to get a response from the lender.
