Dickens of a Christmas – Wheaton’s 24 Annual Celebration

Another wonderful celebration is planned to kick off the holiday season in Wheaton. Downtown Wheaton will be bustling with activity on November 23rd.

  • Danada Square Christmas Tree5:00 – 5:45pm >> The night starts with members of Wheaton Drama caroling in front of Martin Plaza*.
  • 5:45 – 6:00pm >> The lighting of the tree by Mayor Gresk will take place in front of Martin Plaza.
  • 6:00 – 7:00pm >> Both young and old will enjoy a Christmas parade with lite floats adorned by storybook characters.
  • 7:00pm >> Little Obie Locomotive will be boarding in front of the Wheaton Post Office at 122 N. Wheaton Ave.
  • 7:00 – 9:00pm >> Relax and enjoy the town on a horse drawn carriage ride. Rides are $10 per family and begin at the corner of E Liberty and Main Street.
  • 7:00 – 9:00pm >> Many downtown stores will be open for you to browse and start you holiday shopping early.

I have lived in Wheaton for over 14 years and I had no idea where Martin Plaza is located. I will let you know when I find out!
