Punxsutawney Phil makes my day!

I attended the Ben Kinney’s Groundhog Day: Changing the Course of Your Real Estate Career” today. It was informative and inspirational. It was a fitting name for the webinar considering today was Groundhog day.

February 2nd is a day that people
look forward to all winter long.
February 2nd that magical day
when groundhogs all over have
their 15 minutes of fame.

The most famous of these groundhogs is Punxsutawney Phil (number unknown). Groundhog Day has been celebrated in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania since 1886. The celebration goes on for several days with even a breakfast with Punxsutawney Phil on the 4^th.

Legend has it that if the groundhog sees his shadow he returns to his hole as there will be six more weeks of winter.

For those who have not heard yet, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow! Now before you start complaining, you should hear the odds. Did you know that groundhogs (can’t just blame Phil) are only correct about 40% of the time.

Yep, that’s right. I love those odds. We have a 60 percent chance of no more winter.
