Taste of Home Cooking School - Merrillville, Indiana

For the second year in a row, Taste of Home Magazine is bringing their Cooking School to the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana. Tickets are on sale now for the cooking school held on Monday, October 12, 2009.

I attended this last year and I'm looking forward to going again for the

• Live cooking demos with top culinary specialist Dana Elliott
• Fabulous recipes and creative cooking tips
• Prize give-aways and free gift bags
• Top local vendor exhibits

The vendor booths are open from 1 - 9:30 pm. Showtime for the cooking show is 7 PM and the doors open at 5:30 PM. If you cannot attend the show, you ought to stop by the vendor booths from 1 - 9:30 for only $1.00.

The give-aways last year were incredible. They not only gave away grocery store gift cards, fruit baskets, kitchen gadgets, etc., but at the end of the night they also gave away the stainless steel appliances they used during the show. It included a microwave, 2 ranges, a refrigerator, and a complete dining table and 4 chairs. All the food they prepared was also given away.
