Did you know that 2010 is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day?
Earth day was founded in the US by Senator Gaylord Nelson to teach us about the environment and it is now celebrated through out the World every year.
United Nations celebrates Earth day on a different day. March equinox is their day for Earth day....... often March 20th.
This tradition was founded by the piece activist John McConnell in 1969
