Congratulations Fort Wayne Tincaps

Congratulations to the Fort Wayne Tincaps! The minor league single A affiliate to the San Diego Padres and 2009 Midwest League Champions have guaranteed themselves a spot in this years postseason.

The Tincaps in their second season at Parkview Field in downtown Fort Wayne are currently 74-58 on the year with 8 games remaining on the schedule, 3 of those being home games on the 4th,5th and 6th of September

The Tincaps have been a hot ticket in town since moving to Parkview Field last year, they were previously the Wizards and played at memorial stadium. In 2009, the inaugural season, the Tincaps set a new season attendance record of 378,529 which has been surpassed this season already with 3 home games left. The mark currently stands at 384,866 after a sellout crowd last Friday evening in a loss to the Great Lakes Loons 6-3.

The Tincaps are another of many reasons I love to call Fort Wayne Home!
