Change of Seasons is in the Air!

The change of seasons is in the air in Valparaiso, Indiana! Can you see feel it? Can you see it?

I can feel it when I walk outside in the morning and a get a blast of cool, crisp, damp air. I see it in the leaves changing colors and falling off their branches. I feel it when I get up and shiver until I get my robe on. I see when I look out at my yard and realize that I should really rake some leaves and clean up my flowerbeds. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow......yes, tomorrow.

I also see it doing ordinary, everyday things such as grocery shopping. Berries were plentiful and so good just a few weeks ago. Now they are not so looking so good. What has replaced them? Well, gourds, of course. All shapes, sizes, and colors - fall colors. Oh, and apples are at their best too. Yes, it's time for pumpkin pie and apple pie. Fresh out the oven with whipped cream for the pumpkin and ice cream for the apple. Am I making you hungry yet?

Yes, a change of seasons is definitely in the air in Valparaiso, Indiana and I love it! Snow will be on the ground before long. The entire landscape looks different in the snow. For now, we have lots of leaves ready to fall but soon............SNOWBALLS! Watch out, I may just get you!
