I was watching the evening news and they were talking about banks. They went on to talk about how they have all received bailout funds but haven't lent or are not lending any of that money out to the general public.
This is when I jump off the couch and throw a shoe at my TV. Why do I throw my shoe? Because what they are saying is not true, banks are lending money. Not only are they lending money but they lending it at some of the lowest rates in history.
What they are really saying is that they are not handing out loans like they used to and that is a good thing. 2 years ago anyone could get financed and I mean anyone. Yes, banks are being pickier about who they lend to but the idea that they have no money lend you is irresponsible.
So if you are considering purchasing a home don't listen to the news and let them talk you out of a life changing decision. Get the facts for yourself.
