Habitat for Humanity announces deadline for next years grants

If your dream of home ownership has met a road block, you might want to consider applying for a grant from Habitat for Humanity. Each year Habitat builds homes for deserving people. Habitat is not a hand out, each potential home owner has to meet not only need requirement but also must provide a required work commitment to qualify for the low interest loan. If you think you are a good candidate for Habitat read on.

Heartland Habitat for Humanity will hold a meeting this Tuesday November 6th for people interested in learning how to become a Habitat homeowner. The meeting will take place from 5:30 till 7pmbat Gashland Presbyterian Church 8029 N. Oak Trafficway Kansas City, Kansas. Interested parties must bring the following information:

One months paystubs

Last 3 years tax returns including (W2's & 1040's)

Most recent benefit printout from Social Security

Last 6 months bank statements

Child support benefits (if applicable)

Divorce decree

Social Security Card

Photo Identification

Denial letter from Accredited lending institution for a mortgage

Michael, That is wonderful information  for those that are looking for a home in your area and may not have known about the requirements.  I hope those that can benefit from it and fit the criteria see your post.
