Interest Rates Just Above 6%

Interest rates are generally very low, but lately they have been creeping back up above the 6% mark. According to the Kansas City Star, interest rates on a 30-year fixed mortgage remain above 6% and are currently at 6.06%, a seven-week high. The average rate on a 15-year fixed is 5.59%, just down from 5.62% last week.
