| Beginning this April, Simon Kenton High School will unveil a new Farmers' Market in southern Kenton County. Simon Kenton's agriculture teacher and advisor to the FFA has been in discussion with the Kenton County Extension Office and all indications are that a Farmer’s Market would be well received in Central/Southern Kenton County. Currently the only other Farmer’s Market in Kenton County is located at the north end of the county in Covington. The market will be located in the school's front parking lot, beginning on Saturday, April 26 and running through Saturday, Nov. 1. The scheduled market hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendor can setup beginning one hour prior to the market opening. Items sold at the Farmers' Market will be limited to items grown or produced in Kenton, Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Pendleton, Carroll, Owen or Bracken counties. For more information on the Farmers' Market you can contact Larry Butler at the Simon Kenton High School by phone (960-0218) or e-mail (Lawrence.Butler@Kenton.kyschools.us ). |
