I've got news for YOU! Big Bugs are all over in Owensboro Kentucky! They are scattered all over our town. You just have to find them. A very special little girl named Gem, is willing to take us on a "bug hunt"
Here we go!
At first we see a sign at the Owensboro High school on Frederica Street. It says the Bugs are coming in Owensboro Kentucky to the Botanical Gardens.

Here it is , the first bug... It is a beautiful butterfly at Owensboro High School.
Let's look at it up close and personal! Isn't she a big and beautiful butterfly?
By the way, did you notice the sign says Us News and World report voted OHS (Owensboro High School) as one of the best High Schools 2008? Everyone says they are really proud of Owensboro High!

Also, I have been told that The Big Bug show is being promoted with some other forms of entertainment programs that include insect eating, some bluegrass music, a Volkswagen show, a Scarecrow Parade and Belly Dancers. Sounds like lots of fun. Be sure to come out and join in the fun in Owensboro, Kentucky!

Jan~ Yes she is so precious! I am going to have to eventually put her new brother in somehow, although she thinks SHE is the "star" which, of course she IS!!
She loved the hunt because it was something fun and different to do, but she got tired of it fast because it was SO HOT that day... so we had to stop before she called child labor on me, LOL.

Debbie~ Yes I must agree with you she IS THE CUTEST and she loved going on the bug hunt. The heat wasn't the greatest thing, but we still had fun and I tied it in with work- if you can call it work, LOL.
