Madison County Relay for Life 2009

Our Madison County Relay for Life will be June 19 6:00 p.m. to June 20 6:00 a.m. at Church on the Rock back field and parking lot.

Teams of 10-15 people get together and fundraise to make money for the American Cancer Society. These teams come to the Relay and pitch a tent (lots of them decorate them) and take turns walking thruout the night. There will be an opening ceremony and the first lap will be taken by Survivors and their Caregivers. There will be entertainment, silent auction, Relaygo, Rook tournaments and the list goes on and on during the night. At dusk there will be an illuminaria service honoring and remembering those who have survived cancer, who have lost their battle to cancer and those fighting the battle now. These illuminaria bags can be purchased for a $5.00 donation. This is a beautiful service!

For those who manage to stay all night there will be breakfast the next morning!
