Yay! It's State Fair time in Kentucky! I LOVE the fair; always have. I love looking at all the animals (the cows, chickens, and rabbits are my favorite). I love listening to all the live bands in the beer tents. I love walking through the exhibit hall. There's nothing about the fair that I don't like (with the exception of hot weather!). This years Kentucky State Fair runs from August 16-26 and is packed full of exciting things to do! Here are a few of my favorites:
Lynn's Paradise Café Ugly Lamp Contest - Blue Ribbon Stage, South Wing B; Saturday, August 18 @ 3:00 p.m. (you can view the lamps for the duration of the fair)
Dairy Goats, Poultry, Pigeons, and Rabbits - August 16-19
Draft Horse Pull - August 26
The Thrillway & Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom - use your thrillway tickets to enjoy some of the rides at Kentucky Kingdom too! Open all days of the State Fair.
Kids Biz Stage - Daily entertainment for the whole family. Kids get tired of walking and walking and walking. Take a break here and watch comedians, magicians, etc. Open all days of the State Fair.
