Interesting statistics concerning the real estate market in Calloway County

These Statistics are from the Regional Multiple Listings systems (MLS) for the Murray Calloway County Board of REALTORS. They only apply to residential listings.

• Average days on the market - 178
• Average Listing Price - $186,568
• Average Sale Price - $121,393
• Current Active Listings - 229

You can see from the statistics that we're not in an exceptionally hot market. The average DOM is almost 6 months which tells me that either a lot of owners are asking too much, or people aren't generally that motivated to sell.

However, we are blessed in Western Kentucky with a pretty steady flow of incoming and outgoing students, professors, etc. that keep our market relatively stable.
