This place has changed my mortgage career upside down. Ever since I have had my profile up and blogging in both Active Rain and Localism, I have had a lot of interest. I don't know if its just me or that I'm the only loan officer doing this in the state but I have worked my way up to the number one spot and It will not be taken away from me. I wanted to thank each and everyone of my friends and bloggers that have left a mark with me. I wanted to ask you if you are doing anything different to earn business from Active Rain and how are you getting business contacts from this place? Just yesterday I received a small thank you card in the mail from a contact on here. I was so amazed by it I framed it. Its nothing crazy but its my first real business card from Active Rain. I was so excited on what she did that I started sending out the same thing. Thanks again and let me know what your doing!

I have received 5 leads in the past 4 weeks from people contacting me from my google placement. I have funded 1 of those and am likely funding 2 more by months end. As far as what I am doing. Just blogging about things that are important to me and what I think is important to consumers.
I've gotten a few leads as well!
I think mainly people are interested to know that there are good mortgage people in all markets!

I'm well placed on Google under certain headings - but what are the searches you type to find yourself? "Loans in (city)?" "(State name) Mortgages? My podcasts, radio show, and blogs are getting thick in the searches - but I haven't really pushed mortgages as much.
Closing a loan as a result of blog placement (more or less) sounds appetizing.

Ben, Realtors have been contacting me from this site and their interest in what I do....so it's a wonderful way to speak with people and I am going to speak at one in May!
AR is a great database of information. Knowledge is power.
I am a pretty new user of Active Rain. But it has helped to focus me. I know that I want to post on my own blog weekly. And it has helped me decide what to do with the reasearch I do about my market: Post It!
And I always knew I had opinions... but this helps me to get them right out there.
Ihave analyzed what my real estate license really means to me: It is a license to be Opinionated, Bossy & Nosy.
