Norton Commons is a Great Place to Call Home

Norton Commons residents should never have an excuse to be bored. There are plenty of fun activities to keep the whole family happy! The neighborhood is a quick 20 minute drive from downtown Louisville, and features plenty of restaurants, shops, and entertainment so residents can experience suburban living with big city options in their own community.

There is a housing style for everyone in this fully sufficient neighborhood, from classical styles, such as Greek Revival and Italianate Cottages, to condominiums and row-style townhomes. Prices range from the mid $150’s to over $700,000, and Norton Commons showcases some of the most ornate new architecture in the Louisville area.

Norton Commons recently announced the addition of several new businesses, including Johnny Brusco’s NY Pizzeria, Commons Community Pharmacy, South Village Market and The Sewing Shop. Residents and visitors can enjoy a glass of wine at 4 Flights Wine Boutique, pamper themselves at Enesa Skin Institute, or pamper their pets at The Pet Station Salon & Boutique.

There are also plenty of outdoor activities and adventures in Norton Commons. The Jimson Square Pool allows residents to cool off in the hot summer months, and Linear Park features a fire pit for community meetings and two blocks of park space, designed to accommodate a wide range of ages. Dogs can run free at the Kings Crown Dog Park.

From gourmet cupcakes to Italian ice cream, Norton Commons offers a wide range of restaurants to enjoy. Breakfast at Verbena Café is not to be missed, and a Caramel Apple gelato (or any of their more than 80 recipes) at Gelato Gilberto.

Those interested in the lovely neighborhood of Norton Commons should participate in Homearama 2011. Twenty one display homes will be open for touring, prices starting at $375,000. Admission is $10 per person – per visit, with the option to purchase a two-day pass for $15 which allows access to Norton Commons anytime during the 16 day event. Homearama will offer great decoration ideas and the opportunity to purchase artwork and furniture, along with shopping for your dream home!
