Recycling in Shepherdsville - How, Where, and Why

If you live in Shepherdsville and would like to recycle, there are a couple of different ways to go about it.

1. The easist and most convenient is to call Eco-Tech (935-1130) and have them pick it up at the curb. They charge $5.00 / month for this service.
2. Alternatively, you can take everything to the 'recycling center' on South Preston beside the stockyards. There is no cost and you do not have to separate anything.

With a little more effort, you can give your aluminum cans to a worthy cause such as the youth program at Divine Savior Lutheran Church. We keep 2 recycled-plastic bins in our garage. Aluminum cans go in one and plastic/metal/glass containers go in the other. Once every couple of weeks, we drop the cans off at the church and take everything else to the recycling center.
