A History of Trains in DeQuincy, Louisiana
DeQuincy, Louisiana celebrates Railroad Days annually the second weekend in April but you can visit the DeQuincy Train Museum anytime. The 1923 train depot now houses the DeQuincy Train Museum and is listed on the national register of historic places.

There is also a 1913 steam locomotive, 2 cabooses and a 1947 passenger coach on site.

Adjacent to the DeQuincy Train Museum is the DeQuincy City Park. During the school year the DeQuincy Train Museum is a popular destination for field trips. Trains and a nice park with playground equipment is a winning combination for the City of DeQuincy!
