All civic associations are important to the local community. First of all they are the watch dogs for your community. An active association will help keep property value where they belong. Secondly, they assist with many local issues. Finally, they assist in keeping an area looking upscale. Belonging to your local civic organization is very important. The civic organization we belong to is Ormond Civic Association. A quick visit to their website and you will see all the important issues this organization is working to improve on. The very first thing as you enter Ormond Estate Subdivision is the landscape neutral ground. The OCA pays and maintain the two entrance and planters on the bouvarld. The grass cutting and additional landscaping is all provided by the parish. Ormond Civic Association also plants new trees on the Blovard. There are task which this association address throughout the year. Other issue included: traffic and crime control, new development, code enforcement and hurricane protection.
Although, membership to the Ormond Civic Association is voluntary, I feel we should all belong to the association. The cost per year is $35. Joining this association not only will help beautify the area but keep a quality of life we all want to enjoy. Go to the site and click on Join the OCA tab on the left hand side.
