A few years ago Louisiana began a Tax Free Day just like many of other States. The Tax free day has limit on the dollar amount of your purchase. The limit is $2500.00 dollar here in Louisiana. The dates are August 5- 6  2011.

In light of our current economy and gas prices this will be a welcome relief. The timing this year is also very important; back to school for most in the New Orleans area will begin during the following weeks.
