Metairie LA Snow Day

Kenner / Destrehan LA Snow Day 2008

Snow is very rare in Southeast Louisiana. Today it snowed in Kenner LA, by mid morning the snow was starting to take. In other parts of the country they are asking what the big deal is. In Southeast Louisiana the big deal is most have not seen snow nor know how to operate in the snow. Most students stayed home and play, for that matter most adults were no shows at work. This was the earliest in recorder time that it has snowed in New Orleans. The last time it snow was Christmas Day 2004. Naturally it would snow the day I was planning to go Christmas Shopping.

As the song goes Let It Snow!

Merry Christmas

METAIRIE LA HOMES IN SNOW

Posted Thursday Dec 11

Frank - Unbeliveable !!!!   I sure wouldn't know how to drive in that white stuff...... When I heard the Weather channel last night say you'd have snow, I was shocked.   I am going to call my Aunt in Mobile and see if she had snow too.  Photos are Great !!

Frank, no school? I am laughing my head off. We have sooooooooo much more snow than that to call off school. Having grown up in the South; however, I know how excited everyone had to be to see the white flakes. It is beautiful and glad you got to experience it.

Uh, yeah. I was soooooooooooooooooooooooo laughing last night when I saw the news. I actually thought of you when I saw the weather! You guys had more snow than we've had all season!!! Get out those skiis and have some fun. LOL

Lindsey, I would not know how to handle any skiis.

Missy, has on yesterday the temp was closing in on 60 now that I can handle.

Christine, I did not hear if it made it that far to Mobile. It was different. Give me 80's temp any day.

Frank I didn't  even see a snowflake driving back from Tampa.  Missed the whole thing.
