I was thrilled to receive a call from a volunteer coordinator for the Audubon Society today.
Seems that since the release of two different groups of Pelicans from Cameron over the last few weeks, they are now in need of people to help feed baby pelicans and to monitor birds that have received bands.
My first impression was bottle feeding, but it is much easier. The job description is quite simple. Arrive in Cameron by 6:30 am, get on a boat, go to the destination and toss fish out for the baby Pelicans. The process ends by 10:30 making this a pretty easy gig.
I'm a but fuzzy on the monitoring aspect, but I'm to receive an e-mail with instructions.
