HOME BUYER TAX CREDIT extended for Members of the Military deployed durling last years tax credit

Veterans and active members of the military thank you for your service.

The tax credit has been extended for Veterans that were deployed during last years tax credit. This is the link to the IRS for the home buyer tax credit extension for members of the military deployed during last years home buyers tax credit.

The link above will give you very specific information. Some basic quialifications for this credit are:

  1. Must have been out of the country on qualified official extended duty service for a min of 90 days between 12/31/08 and 05/01/2010
  2. Must be under agreement/ under contract by 04/30/2011 and close by 06/30/2011
  3. Must be a first time buyer or have not owned a primary residence within the last 3 years.
  4. Purchase price can not exceed 800k
  5. Single tax filer can not make more than 125k, joint filers 225k
  6. Tax Credit is either $6500 or $8000 depending on when you were depolyed.

60 Days is plenty of time to close a VA loan. I have experienced loan officers that I work with that can close them in 30 days. VA loans have no PMI and you can still do 100% financing.
