The Home Inspector Brought a Change of Shoes
On a recent home inspection, I had cause to be impressed. It was a snowy day, and the ground was covered in mush and mud. The home inspector made his rounds on the exterior of the home and then came in through the front door.
Before entering the main living space, this inspector stopped in the foyer and changed his shoes! I've never seen a home inspector bring an extra pair of shoes to the job. I'm not certain if the buyer (not my client - I was the listing agent) told the inspector about the new carpets in the home, or perhaps the buyer's agent did. Or, maybe this is just the way this particular inspector works.
Regardless, this single action sticks in my mind and has me examining my own actions to see if I can't add a small gesture of consideration to my work.
