Day 55: 100 Days of Central Mass Features the Brimfield Antiques Show

Originating in the 1950s, the Brimfield Antiques Show has become the largest and best-known outdoor antiques show in the country. Located in Brimfield, MA along Route 20, it stretches for about a half mile on both sides of the street and takes place 3 times per year in May, July and September. There are thousands of antique dealers throughout the week long extravaganza. You will find items from your typical yard junk to fine antique pieces at the Brimfield Antiques Show. It's a fun filled event for the whole family! There are food courts and rest facilities around so put your walking shoes on and start checking it out.

Brimfield is a New England town with charm and about 3,000 residents. Brimfield is known as the Foothills of the Berkshires and in an area known as the Pioneer Valley, covered in apple orchards, wooded hills and horse farms. It's about 35 square miles in size. When the Brimfield Antiques Show comes to town 3 times a year, the population of the town balloons to over 250,000 visitors and 5,000 dealers.
