What to do this Saturday in Metrowest Boston

You may have heard the weather is not going to be quite perfect this weekend in Metro-West Boston. That may be a bit of an understatement. As the weather forecast is readying residents for a flood watch starting Friday night.

That's unfortunate because a number of towns had a great line up of outside activities.

· Medway's Community Church Harvest Festival will be held from 10-3 on Saturday at the church grounds right in the center of Medway on Main Street. Lots of activities and opportunities for eating- bar-b-cues, apple pie, puppets, live bands – and more –

· Holliston’s “Celebrate Holliston” has been postponed until October 1. You can find more about that event at www.celebrateholliston.com

So what to do this weekend if most activities are washed out.

· Have you bought your autumn flowers or pumpkins for your front stoop?

· Shopping at Wrentham Mall can be done in the rain – (snow or sleet)

· A good movie is always an option – Try Bellingham’s Regal Cinema – Or a real treat would be to try the cinema at Patriot Place (Foxboro) and eat while you’re watching a movie.

· A walk in the rain – This is the perfect time to take your dog for a walk in the rain – Let me suggest Ashland State Park – A lot of that walk would be in the woods – and you’ll find the trees will keep you dry –

· Ok – there’s always housekeeping – But I know you can do better than that! a Metrowest couple enjoying Autumn

Whatever you do this weekend – Take time to enjoy the autumn activities in Metro-West Boston!
