RE/MAX of New England recently reported that donations made by RE/MAX agents in 2008 reached a level of $8 million in the U.S. and Canada. This is a significant number, given the fact that for many agents, 2008 was a very difficult year. The generosity of RE/MAX agents remained strong throughout a tumultuous time, and I for one am proud to be a member of this remarkable group.
Through the Children's Miracle Network, each RE/MAX agent in the U.S. and Canada can make a donation in their client's name at the close of a real estate transaction. This means that most (if not all) of the $8 million mentioned above was donated in buyers' and sellers' names. That money will help ill children throughout North America survive and thrive.
RE/MAX has donated a total of $93 million since the inception of its Children's Miracle Network program in 1992. I am in my second year of supporting this program and intend to continue in 2009. I hope to help RE/MAX reach its goal of $100 million by the end of 2009, by continuing to make donations in my clients' names. Congratulations RE/MAX!
