To all my Real Estate Friends:
If you are like me you are always on the go, and do not always make the correct food choice. I usually start my day around 6 am and am in my office by 7am. I can usually go till whenever with meetings and conference calls. I do business on the west coast also.
What I found was my diet was getting worse and worse. I was hitting Duncan a couple of times a day. And my energy level was just getting crushed. And not to mention my focus was waning. I knew that I had to make a change.
I took the radical approach and started an extreme work out program, some may know it. But the program is not important. I mostly needed to control my food intake. I needed this more than anything.
What did i do:
- I kicked the can: I stopped drinking soda all together. I recently read an article that says, soda in general is one step away from battery acid on the acid and alkaline scale. Think about that for a minute, we put this in our body and it will dislove a tooth if soaked in it.
- Greened it: One of my biggest down falls is that I know were every Duncan Donuts and Starbucks are in MA, from always being on the run. I would down a couple of coffees a day. I switch to know Duncan Donuts(maybe 1 Ice). When i go to Starbucks I get a Green Ice Tea unsweetened. I had a couple of equals. This is was a huge change for me I Love sugar in my coffee and tea, but had to be done.
- Slowed Down: I stopped hitting the fast food places. Have not eating at McDonald's, Wendy's, or Burger kIng in 6 months. Instead i either pack a lunch. I Must confess I hate packing a lunch, but it truly is the only way to control food intake. Or if you it want to eat out get the grilled chicken or salad with dressing on the side. I personal wil go to Wholefoods and make a salad.
- Grill It: When you cook your foods. Mostly lean meats chicken and fish us the grill year round. Other cooking methods will let the food sit in its fat. When you grill the fat drips away.
- Boot the Booze: I found myself drinking a beer or a glass of wine or Bourbon at night. I stopped I now will only have some on a Friday or Saturday, usually not both.
- Water it up: Drink water I will stop and get a gallon jug and keep it in a cooler or my office fridge and fill up a water bottle and keep it with me all day. I drink almost a gallon a day.
- Exercise: Do something, like i said I went extreme with an in home workout, my wife likes the gym. Do something go for a walk. It will make your brain Kick in become more efficient.
One last note, by making these change I was able to kick my Acid Reflux that I developed. No more little purple pill and no more tums.
