Learn About the Asian Longhorned Beetle in Canton, MA

What is the Asian longhorned beetle? The Asian longhorned beetle is believed to have come to the United States in wooden packing crates originating from Asia several years ago. They bore into the heartwood of a host tree, eventually killing the tree. Since then, we have spent $50 million in federal and state money to eradicate the beetle in Massachusetts.

Attend a special presentation and learn about the beetle. The presentation will be held on Saturday, June 11, at 11:30 a.m. at the Brookwood Community Farm, 11 Blue Hill River Road, Canton. The program will run about an hour.
