Residents of Stoughton, MA can now borrow a "kill-a-watt" meter from the town library to help measure their home's energy efficiency in a new initiative announced this week. The "kill-a-watt" meter measures the energy usage and cost of appliances when they’re plugged into an outlet or other power source. For two weeks, residents can borrow the kit, instructions and a link to help them interpret the data. The "kill-a-watt" meter program is just one step toward making Stoughton a Green Community, a grant program run by the state that encourages energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. Stop by during library hours to get your kit and learn how to make your home more energy efficient.
