Lower Cape Cod

The lower cape is where it's at for me. If you want big hotels, chain restaurants, and tawdry night clubs and entertainment, then go down on the South Shore along Route 28 through Hyannis and Hyannisport. Wellfleet is my preference where you have several natural ecosystems to experience. And if you want to get away from unending crowds, go between mid-June and mid-September. Wellfleet in May or October is heaven. Lots of birds, no big crowds, long beaches, and unobstructed access.
