Imagine if each day of your life kept getting better and better. This can happen if you first define a perfect day for your life and then focus daily on spending more and more of your time fitting your life into that design.
There are a few steps you can take to make your own perfect day:
- Go to a quiet place for an hour. This quiet place should not have other people present, a computer, papers, a phone, or email. The place should be somewhere you enjoy being such as a beach, a café, your porch, or a museum.
- Write down a list of all the frustrations you encounter on a typical day. Include anything that drains your energy, stresses you out, makes you unhappy, or makes you bored. This exercise shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes.
- Write down a summary of your perfect wakeup routine. This should be a sequence of events that begin from the first moment you wake up and for approximately 15 minutes thereafter.
- You should then write down a summary of your perfect morning routine. This should be a sequence of events that begin 15 minutes after you wake up and last until noon.
- Complete the same steps to draft your perfect afternoon, evening, and sleep time. Each of these summaries should take no more than 15 minutes.
Try following the steps in your perfect day plan for a week. Revise your plan every weekend for one month and see if it has a positive impact on your life.
