Allen Pond Park is located at 3330 Northview Drive in Bowie, MD

Can you say…85 acres? That’s the size of Allen Pond Park. Allen Pond is a huge multi-use park with something for everyone.

For starters the Allen Pond has everything from a tot lot to an Amphitheater. The Park is situated on well manicured lawns with a stocked pond as the focal point. When visiting the park you will be immersed in an atmosphere where the people are friendly and there is no shortage of fun things to do.

10-acre Stocked Pond and Boathouse, Walking and Biking Trails, Picnic Areas and Pavilions

The Bowie Ice Arena with year round ice skating.

The Ice Arena is home of the Bowie High School Ice Dogs and the Washington Junior Nationals hockey team.

If in need of a snack while visiting the arena, you don’t have to look any further than The Penalty Box Cafe is located in the lobby of the ice arena. The Café is open daily serving a variety of food.

Also in the Ice Arena is the Blades of Bowie Pro Shop. The shop is a full service pro shop able to handle all of your skating needs; including recreational skating, competitive figure skating and ice hockey.

Lay back and chill out to some smooth jazz tunes or kick up your heels to some R&B or rock music during the Allen Pond Park Concert Series.

Summer months at Allen Pond fills the Amphitheater with a wonderful Sunday Summer Concert Series which incorporates, Bluegrass, Mowtown, R&B, 50’s – 80’s Rock, Concert Performance, Jazz, Country, Iris Rock, Blues, Pop and Patriotic music. In most cases the 2009 Summer Concert Series is held from on Sunday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
