Ever drive around in a car that resembles an egg yolk? We have.....

Yellow car

When we planned our trip to right outside D.C., getting from the airport to our destination required the renting of a car. Economy was the order of the day due to the expense of the plane fares.

Illustration... The safety yellow vehicle that turned out to be the only economy car on the Thrifty lot when we arrived for the pick up.

Since we were too tired to walk and too cheap to upgrade we took it. The reasoning was that it would get us from point A to point B (airpor to mom's house) . It was also going to be a driveway ornament for our three day stay.

Driving on real roads and freeways in the "yolk" was intimidating (not really...) but we did make it safe and sound both ways.

Holidays are great for spending with family and friends. The egg yolk experience made me realize that how you get there is not nearly as important as just getting there!

Consider that the thing we celebrate is the birth of our Savior. He arrived in a very humble way, and the world has not been the same since. Blessings are where we find them.

Hope this has been your Merriest Christmas ever!
