Crofton MD First Time Homebuyers - Now Is The Time To Act

The March results are in and it sure looks like first time homebuyers are fueling the homebuying activity in Crofton, MD.

Last month, 25 homes sold in the 21114 (Crofton) zip code. Of the 25, half (13) of these were in the price range from $200,000 - $250,000 range. This is a range typically associated with first time homebuyers in this real estate area.

First time homebuyers should be aware that they may qualify for an $8,000 tax credit if they purchase a home before December 1st. Some restrictions apply so talk to your agent, or give me a call, to learn more about the $8,000 first time homebuyers tax credit.

Back to Crofton, MD real estate. Another indicator that activity is picking up is that the number of days a property was on the market for sale decreased by 24%. While total sales volume and average price were both down, that could be indicative of the number of homes sold in the $200,000 - $250,000 range.

Another indicator of future sales is the fact that 28 homes were new pendings, that is, Contracts + Contingencies.
