With GPS and Mapquest, who needs a map to get around in the Greater Crofton area?
If your answer is “I do!”, you’re in luck because I just happen to have a box of Crofton area maps in my office. Simply ask, and you shall receive. I also have a limited number of full-color maps for the area between Baltimore and Washington, which are ideal for anyone relocating to work at Northrup Grumman, Fort Meade, BWI or anywhere in this area.
Since you’re reading this online, the easiest way to get your map is probably to click on Contact Margaret Woda and type your request into the message box. If you prefer, just call me at 301–346–2923. I can either leave a map at the reception desk at Long & Foster for you to pick up or mail it to you, whichever you prefer.

What a wonderful offer. I know many love maps.
I love maps.
I have a map fetish.
Hi Margaret, many times the GPS and Mapquest do not have the spot you are trying to find. This is a great opportunity to have the backup in the glove box. Very nice Margaret.
Margaret - What a simply wonderful idea! I'm probably one of the few people who doesn't have GPS and is always collecting maps for all the places that I go.
Lenn, You are - and I love YOUR maps!
Gary, Exactly! Or maybe you just want to use it to teach map-reading skills to your kids, using familiar streets.
Donna - Even when I use GPS, I still like the visual of a map.
Thanks, all for your comments. To anyone else who may follow, please know I probably won't be accessing activerian again 'til Friday.
Margaret ! - Almost everyone loves to have map as a 'backup' even if they have a gps - so this is a terrific offer you are giving :o)
Very nice !
Hi Margaret! GREAT idea--I am a map lover too but, I'd be willing to be that neither of my boys would have a clue as to how to use one!! They've been spoiled with a GPS since they learned how to drive! :-)
So many of us need maps and don't have the fancy GPS systems. What a nice offer .
Nice touch. What are you doing to get your text so varied? It looks great. Are you building in Word and pasting or what?
Michael - No, I learned a long time ago that "MS Word is to blogging what gum is to hair." LOL. I simply changed highlighted sections to either Bold or Italics: Another lesson learned a long time ago for giving more visual appeal to a post. On very rare occasions, I go into the HTML and create larger or colored fonts, but that's about 1 out of 25 posts - not this one.
Terry - Many of our offices have these free maps available, but sometimes I think we fail to communicate that info to consumers - and that's why maps sit in boxes in our offices.
Debe - Consumers like free stuff, especially relocating home buyers. 'Think I'm going to find a way to include this offer on my blogsite and website.
Sheldon - Since we met in Philly at REBar Camp, I smile whenever I see your picture and name. I think my name for you has to go beyond "That British Agent" and become "Mr. Positive". Thanks for your comment.
Well Margaret, I agree with everyone else. I just LOVE maps! But that's not why I'm here. I came from your featured post to see the "copy and paste" you were talking about.
If I understood you correctly, you wrote this in another document and copied and pasted it here. Is the font different than the usual AR font? I don't mean to be so dumb about this.
No, Connie, what I did was copy and paste this into the box which became the screenshot image for that other blog - as you can see in that image, the cartoon and font formatting all disappeared in the box. If you simply used "right click" the cartoon, the link and font formatting (bold and italics) would all transfer instantly - unchanged. Try it!
Margaret, sorry for the delay in reading the response. We had a goofy 2 days of email problems. I have tried this and basically was going to play with it again today. I've spent the week in Ohio with my 95 year old in-laws and no internet access. Yikes. Happy to be home playing catch - up on my computer.
BTW, did you get the information about the signature on my email from Kelley? I want to say she was trying to send it to you during the email crisis. I will have her re-send it if you didn't. Thanks for all your help and explanations!
Connie - I did, thank you!
