I was on a mission to get some shots of Davidsonville, Anne Arundel County's own "horse country," when I pulled off Rt. 214 to take this photo.

This fella wondered what was going on and came over to check us out.

Homes in Davidsonville tend to be very grand, and located in upscale communities with acre+ lots.

You'll find beautiful historic churches...

And the new Renditions Golf Course. (This is the 30's style clubhouse, seen from the driveway as you approach the course.)
Each hole is a replica of a famous hole on a golf course that has hosted one of the PGA major championships. Renditions is open to the public, so check out their website for more information.
If you're looking for a luxury home or a place where you can keep your horse(s), Take a look at DAVIDSONVILLE HOMES FOR SALE. Davidsonville is conveniently located west of Annapolis, east of Bowie (and D.C.), south of Crofton (and Baltimore).

Looks like a wonderful place to live and play. The golf course sounds fun also.
Margaret, Your mission was a successful one. Beautiful photos. I love the horses, the big homes, the white fences, the historic church. The golf course sounds great, too.
Margaret - These are great pictures. Love the church.
Audrey - It's a lot prettier at the time of year these photos were taken... Have a nice visit to Anne Arundel County.
Terry - It is beautiful in Davidsonville... Now that I think of it, I don't know why I don't "Focus on Davidsonville" - LOL
Shirley - Thanks for the compliment. It's a beautiful place to drive thru, let alone live.
John - This is one of at least three historic churches in Davidsonville, but I'm partial to this brick one.
Margaret, I'm sure looking forward to Spring. Great photos of the area. The church is wonderful.
Love the photos and information on Davidonsville. It has been quite awhile since I've been in that area and now I want to go and meet a friendly horsey too.
Cindy - the number of horses are going down as the number of houses goes up, but at least the homes are spread out and the area retains it's rural ambiance.
Kay - Yes, I miss that greenery, too!
