Gaithersburg Announces Graduation of K-9 Team

The Gaithersburg Police Department is proud to announce the graduation of Corporal Chad Eastman and his canine partner, Max, from a vigorous eight week long Narcotic Detection School hosted by the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. Corporal Eastman's partner Max is now cross trained in both patrol functions and narcotic detection and will assist both the Gaithersburg and Montgomery County Police Departments.
Max, a Belgian Malinois, joined the Gaithersburg Police Department on January 28, 2008. Max was purchased with a donation from the Gaithersburg Police Foundation. He completed a basic patrol canine school in the spring of 2008.
