As the Cherry Blossoms and Pear trees fade out along Crofton Parkway, Dogwoods and Azaleas are coming into bloom throughout Gambrills and the Greater Crofton area. No doubt about it - Spring is here!
It's that time of year again for Preakness Week in Baltimore, Commissioning Week in Annapolis, and school field trips to the Nations Capital. Here are some other things to fill your May calendar:

There’s much more to celebrate in May, however, (if you’re looking for an excuse to party) and here are a few of those occasions:

Did you know that May is Asparagus Month, Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month, Better Hearing and Speech Month, Flower Month, National Egg Month and National Photo Month? It’s also American Bike Month, National Salad Month, National Strawberry Month, National Mental Health Month, Older Americans Month, National Duckling Month, and National Hamburger Month.

Good job keeping everyone informed of what is going on in your area Margaret!
Margaret, nice looking Localism post about upcomingg events in your area. I should try posting one of these a month! Thanks!
Blueberry Cheesecake Day and Chocolate Chip Day sound good to me, Margaret.
Bill - I thank you!
Russell - I think the "extra" info makes it a bit more interesting than "just" meetings in the area. It's really quite an annoyance to have to look at all these different organization websites to find out what's happening in the area. There is no single source except my calendar posts.
Shirley - Me too!
My wife just brought in the first two spears of Asparagus today and right on time.
Hi Margaret - Great way to keep people informed on what is happening! And they save your emails, too! You're a smart lady!
Mary
Terry - Better you than me... Asparagus has never been one of my favorites. LOL. I'm more of a strawberry fan!
Bruce and Mary - 'Hope you're right! I know that I refer back to them myself, from time to time.
